ITSM stands as the prevailing standard employed by most organizations to oversee IT and streamline Information Technology activities into customer-facing services. Initially, the core guidance for this purpose was provided by the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®). However, with a few exceptions, only a handful of processes are typically adopted, primarily in customer-facing IT support.

- Attendees of this FitSM Foundation course can take the FitSM Foundation exam at the end of class.
- The exam is 30 minutes a closed book with 20 multiple-choice questions. At least 65% of correct answers (13 of 20) are required to pass the exam
